Looking to escape the city with its' death-defying street rides? Looking
for a little tranquility and perhaps some technical singletrack?
Hop on the CTA Blue Line with your bike and ride it to its' Forest
Park terminus, and you will have a whole world of rides, from
paved to singletrack, just minutes away!

Go north a few blocks and pick up the rugged trail network that
runs along the DesPlaines River. If you keep with it through the
gaps, you can go all the way to Wisconsin this way!
Go west a few blocks and pick up the Illinois
Prairie Path, the Autobahn of Illinois trails, connecting the
western suburbs to DuPage, Kane, Lake, DeKalb and Will counties,
not to mention a ton of cool forest preserves!

Go south a ways and pick up the paved Bemis Woods trail with
its' extensive parallel singletrack network and through connections
to Oak Brook and points southwest.

In short, if you can afford an El ride, you can now access the
best the state has to offer! Notice also that the terminals for the Orange and Pink lines aren't that far from the action either.

CTA Bike & Ride
Bicycle racks are available on the front exteriors
of CTA buses. Bicycles can be placed on bicycle
racks during normal hours of operation for each
route.
Racks accommodate two (2) bicycles at a
time. Bicycles are also permitted on CTA trains
during certain hours.
